OREGON

The Senate General Government, Consumer and Small Business Protection Committee will meet November 17 to discuss the implementation of H.B. 3000, which authorizes contracting agencies to give preference to the purchase of goods produced or services performed entirely within the state. PENNSYLVANIA

The Health and Human Services Interim Committee will meet November 16 to discuss how the use of a Medicaid preferred drug list has affected client health status and state spending. Emil Georgi at ewg@stateside.com

The Revenue and Taxation Interim Committee will meet November 16 to discuss property tax and registration fees on medical aircraft and the taxation of travel-related service resellers. The committee will hear testimony and discuss draft legislation. Julie Brown at jb@stateside.com

The Health System Reform Task Force will meet November 16 to discuss merging high-risk insurance pools with the individual market, and whether the Insurance Code should be modified to accommodate medical care providers that rely on direct payment by patients for primary care over a period of time.
